Requirements

A Fivetran account on a Standard, Enterprise, or Business Critical plan is required. Sidecar will need an API key from a user with read and write access to the Fivetran API.

1. Create a Fivetran API key

  1. In the left-hand navigation bar in Fivetran, look for the username at the bottom.
  2. Click the dropdown. You will see an API Key section. Click the API Key link.
  3. Click Generate new API Key.
  4. Copy the API Key and API Secret (not the base64 version) and save them in a safe place.

2. Connect Fivetran to Sidecar

  1. In the Onboarding page (or Settings), navigate to the Connect your Extract & Load tool section.
  2. Enter the API Key and API Secret from Step 1.
  3. Click Test then Save.

3. Enable the Fivetran Platform connector
